New study seeks to find East of England’s’ best employers

Birketts is partnering with Pure and Eras Ltd on the 2020 Best Employers Eastern Region employee survey.

Best Employers Eastern Region 2020 is a biennial employee survey that measures employee engagement, company culture and values. The survey is open to organisations from all sectors across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.

The survey gives companies the opportunity to evolve workplace culture, increase engagement and monitor employee satisfaction against previous survey results and the results of other businesses in the region.

Participating organisations receive a tailored report summarising the findings of the survey and an action plan with any opportunities for further development.

Companies taking part also have the added benefit of not only accessing valuable data on their own organisation, but can also benchmark their scores against other organisations in the region. They will also become part of a wider, growing network of Best Employers sharing the latest thoughts on employee engagement.

In 2018, 140 organisation’s participated with more than 15,000 individuals completing the survey. Eight organisations won awards and 40 organisations achieved accreditation. Winners are selected based on employee feedback from the survey.

A panel of advisers has been appointed to endorse platinum and gold kitemark accreditations for organisations who submit further evidence in conjunction with the results of the employee engagement survey.

Partner and Head of Employment at Birketts LLP, Jeanette Wheeler, said: “Each organisation receives a tailored report summarising the findings of the survey and an action plan with any opportunities for further development.  All participants are automatically entered for a series of prestigious awards, presented at a high-profile event.

“The winners are selected based on the employee feedback from the survey – so staff effectively vote for their organisation to win by sharing their experiences of what it is really like to work there.

“As well as being celebrated at the awards events, the Best Employers Eastern Region winners and accredited organisations will be showcased on the Best Employers portal.”
