NXT on the road following Citröen contract
Huntingdon-based sound specialist, NXT, is to have its Audio Full Range (AFR) loudspeaker technology rolled out in a mass production car for the first time following Philips’ collaboration with French manufacturer, Citröen.The technology is part of a hi-fi system developed in conjunction with Philips and will be made available as a premium option in the new Citroën C4 Picasso, which was unveiled at the 2006 Paris Motor Show.
The AFR loudspeaker unit features broad frequency response with minimal footprint, considered by both Citroën and Philips to be a highly attractive offering to consumers. Philips and NXT have previously collaborated on the multi-award winning Matchline and Cineos ranges of LCD TVs. NXT’s share price rose 1p to 32.5p.
