Fabcon continues global expansion with Australian deal

A Norwich equipment manufacturer has further expanded globally after supplying bespoke equipment to an Australian snack maker.

Fabcon Food Systems has provided a full seasoning system for Snack Lovers, a savoury snack manufacturer known for the unique shapes, textures and tastes of its products which are sold across Australia.

Working closely with the Melbourne firm’s owners, Fabcon has completed the installation of a full bespoke seasoning line at the company’s factory as it looks to increase its output and product range.

It’s Fabcon’s eighth installation outside of the UK in the past 12 months – on top of new orders in Nigeria, Romania and further business in Kuwait.

The business, which has a factory in Hellesdon, has built a network of global customers since being founded in 2015 – with Fabcon supplying and installing its handling and processing equipment to customers in the UK and into mainland Europe, Africa and Australia.

Fabcon won the regional International Expansion of the Year category at the 2018 Barclays Entrepreneurs Awards for its growth across several international markets.

Trevor Howard, managing director of Fabcon, said: “Sales abroad now account for around 50 per cent of our revenue and we know that customers really value quality, innovative, British-built machinery.

“In our short history we’ve created a brand which is recognised across the globe but more importantly, we’re being held up by snack manufacturers as a trusted partner who they immediately turn to. It’s a fantastic milestone for everyone here at Fabcon.”
