Comfort zone for Bidwells

Bidwells has appointed Graham Comfort as chief executive. His role will be to drive the firm towards achieving its 2010 business plan objectives.

Comfort comes from Good Hope Hospital NHS Trust, a district general hospital in Sutton Coldfield, where he spent three years as chairman.

Prior to joining the NHS, he was partner responsible for management consultancy at Deloitte in the Midlands.

At Good Hope, he revitalised the board and strengthened the hospital's finances by merging it with an NHS Foundation Trust – the first time

that this had been attempted in the United Kingdom.

James Buxton, senior partner of Bidwells says: "The firm has grown substantially since its last business plan was published in 2000 and this could not have been achieved without enormous commitment and hard

work from everyone involved.

“The foundations for further growth are in place, and we have set ourselves some ambitious goals for 2010.

“We have restructured the senior management of the frm in order to prepare ourselves for further growth. Graham will bring valuable leadership and business management skills which will allow the Firm's partners to focus their attention on developing new business and providing their clients with the very highest standard of professional

service.”

Comfort added:“I saw an opportunity to join a dynamic, ambitious and successful business with a clear vision of where it wants to go.

“I was impressed with the quality of the business, its staff and its clients. I look forward to helping the partners achieve their vision.”
