New contract galvanizes Peterborough construction firm

The local company - part of Wedge Group, the UK’s largest independent galvanizing business - has its plant right on the doorstep, on Warely Road. And the new apartments site is clearly visible from East Anglian Ltd’s premises.

The balcony sections in total weighed between 30 and 40 tonnes.

The apartment development consists of 101 one- and two-bedroom units, and is being built by local construction firm Jelson Limited as part of a regeneration programme in this part of Peterborough, close to the city centre.

East Anglian Galvanizing has also recently successfully completed a contract to galvanize 312 steel balconies, weighing around 100 tonnes, for a brand new luxury apartment development in the centre of Walton-on-Thames in Surrey.
