DVSA relocates to create new Cambridge driving test centre

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), has relocated to the Brookmount Court development in order to expand its holdings and provide a new driving test centre.

Let by Cheffins on behalf of Padmanor Investments Ltd, the new premises will take up over 5,540 sq ft of the ground floor of units A and B Brookmount Court. The DVSA will be relocating from Chesterton Road and has taken the premises on a 10-year lease. Brookmount Court is located on Kings Hedges Road, close to Cambridge Science Park and the A14.

Cheffins associate Steven Harvey said: “The DVSA’s decision to relocate to Brookmount Court is indicative of the comprehensive refurbishment which the building has undergone over the past few years.

“With high specification office and R & D accommodation now available, the building provides an alternative, viable business space within easy reach of the Science Park, city centre and the A14 at a lower price point than other locations.

“New tenants on the site include automatic speech recognition technologists Speechmatics and biopharmaceutical company Paion and we look forward to seeing the area develop as part of the larger regeneration throughout this area of Cambridge.”
