Jaynic unveils 25-acre Suffolk land promotion agreement

Land promoter and developer Jaynic has entered into a land promotion agreement on a 25-acre site off the A134 Bury St Edmunds to Thetford Road at Fornham St Martin, Suffolk.

The site on Fornham Road is adjacent to the Suffolk Waste Partnership’s recycling centre on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds and has potential for around 340,000 sq ft of employment development.

The developer will seek to have the site allocated in the West Suffolk Local Plan Review, the first draft of which is expected shortly.

Nic Rumsey, managing director of Jaynic, said: “There is huge demand for employment land along the A14 corridor and we believe that this site can satisfy some of that demand.

“West Suffolk and Suffolk County Council both recognised the attractiveness of this location and this site benefits from the same advantages. West Suffolk’s recent Employment Land Review identified the land as having potential.”

Jaynic has already had huge success at its Suffolk Park site adjacent to the A14 on the south side of Bury St Edmunds where occupiers include Weerts Group (Skechers/Bleckmann), MH Star UK Ltd, Unipart Logistics, Treatt, Sealey and The East of England Ambulance Trust – accounting for almost 1.75 million sq ft of space. Bidwells and Hazells will be working with Jaynic to promote the site.
