Spanish owned family firm opts for Newmarket

There is now only one unit remaining at Newmarket Business Park, following a pre-let of Unit B/Plot 10 comprising 32,313 sq ft to Cosentino Group, a global Spanish family-owned company that produces and distributes high value innovative surfaces for the world of design and architecture.

Cosentino has signed a new-15 year lease at Unit B/Plots 10 & 11 for a new regional distribution hub to service the East and South-East of England.

Hamilton Land will simul-taneously build out Unit A/Plot 9 comprising 22,582 sq ft incorporating an eaves height of 7.5M plus 44 car spaces on a speculative basis with completion scheduled in September. This unit will be made available on either a freehold or leasehold basis.

Philip Woolner, joint managing partner, Cheffins, said: “Newmarket Business Park has now attracted international attention from a global supplier who has been looking to acquire an important location from which to service its clients throughout East Anglia and the South East.

“The park has been a favourite with a number of national businesses, looking to make the most from its strategic location, only 0.5 miles from the A14 which gives fast access to Cambridge, Ipswich and the East Coast Ports.

“Additionally, Newmarket Business Park is within easy reach of Stansted Airport, London and the M25. There is now only one warehouse unit available to let or sale and with the increasing pressure on warehouse and industrial supply throughout the region, we would expect this to go quickly.”

Newmarket Business Park is also home to Taylor Wimpey Plc, Ridgeons, Howdens, Plumb/Parts Centers, Idexx Corporation, Countrywide Farmers PLC and Smiths News Plc.

The units are located on St. Leger Drive directly off Oaks Drive, which links directly onto the Fordham Road. Studlands Retail Park which incorporates Tesco, Bunnings, Asda, Halfords, Pets at Home and Carpet Right is within short walking distance.

The units are also only 1.5 miles from Newmarket’s historic town centre. Commercial property surveyors, Hurst Warne, acted on behalf of Cosentino.
