Window of opportunity for Building Product Solutions

Salmon Harvester Properties, advised jointly by Savills, Carter Jonas and JLL, has let Unit 3 at Cambridge South on Dales Manor Business Park in Sawston to Building Product Solutions Ltd (BPS).

The company, which designs and manufactures windows, has agreed a new 10-year lease for the warehouse unit totalling 12,529 sq ft and is paying £9.50 per sq ft.

This is the third letting on phase one of the 68,000 sq ft scheme, which will see BPS join occupiers including Plant Shake by Foga Ltd and Echion Technologies Ltd. 

Phase two is set to comprise an additional 63,000 sq ft of logistics space, which will start construction once the existing units have been let.

Rupert Dando, surveyor in the business space team at Savills Cambridge, said: “The diversity of users that Cambridge South has attracted to date is a testament to the scheme’s design and continued strength of the Cambridge industrial market.”

Ian Harrison, MD and founder of Building Product Solutions, added: “The opening of our Cambridge distribution centre marks another exciting milestone in our growth. 

“Our new depot opens us up to the Essex, Kent and Anglia regions and we are now able to service the whole of England. We’re looking forward to making new connections and new job opportunities within the region and continuing our strong growth.”

In another deal, Savills – on behalf of Crossacre Properties – has let the last available suite at Papyrus Business Parc in Werrington, Peterborough to Encasement Ltd.

The sustainable building solutions firm has agreed a new five-year lease for 832 sq ft on the first floor of the six-storey office building, occupying Suite 7.
