Barton Willmore strengthens in Cambridge

Planning and design consultancy, Barton Willmore, has expanded its Cambridge-based planning team as part of its drive to serve its growing client base and workload in the eastern region.

Lyndon Gill joins the practice from Iceni Projects, taking up the position of planning director.

Joanna Burton, former head of heritage at Beacon Planning, has been appointed to lead the practice’s heritage planning offer.

Gill brings 14 years of planning experience having acted on a wide range of urban development projects across the region. He brings a particular focus on delivering complex urban regeneration, commercial, industrial and town centre development.

Burton has acted on many prestigious projects in the eastern region for landowners including the University of Cambridge, Trinity College, and Urban&Civic working on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.

Gareth Wilson, planning partner at Barton Willmore in Cambridge, said: “This is an exciting time for our Cambridge office as we welcome Lyndon and Joanna to the team, as part of our ambitious plans to grow our planning and design services across Cambridge and the eastern region.”
