KPMG has made 20 promotions across its Audit, Tax and Advisory teams based at Hills Road in Cambridge, including three new directors.

Matt Evans, a corporate tax specialist, who joined KPMG’s East Anglian Tax practice 19 years ago has been promoted to Tax Director alongside David Johnson who has been with the firm since 2006 and is now Audit Director.
They are joined by Joe Faulkner, who has been promoted to Director of Business Development for the East Anglian region and who will also take a lead role in the management of the firm’s Norwich office, succeeding Steve Muncey who is retiring this month.

A further four employees were promoted to senior manager level within the business with Harry Simmons and Sam Bell both promoted within the Corporate Finance function following a hugely busy year for the Cambridge team.

Jonathan Seager and Liandi Venter were promoted to Audit Senior Manager as the audit practice continues to grow, having already seen 22 new graduates and apprentices join the office so far this year.

Kelly Dunn, Office Senior Partner for KPMG in Cambridge said: “It is great to see so many colleagues embracing the opportunities we have at the firm to progress in their careers and in particular the recognition for Joe, Matt and David who now join our leadership team to drive the business forward.

“These promotions reflect the investment the firm continues to make in the region and are a reflection of the talent in our business and the growing demand for our services locally.”

Joe Faulkner, Business Development Director added: “These promotions are fantastic recognition of the talent that we have in our local practice and it is particularly rewarding to see so many younger members of staff progressing in their careers with us.

“Our local practice has had a very busy year, as the region continues to attract new and growing businesses and these promotions reinforce our commitment to be part of that growth story.”

KPMG’s Cambridge office is based at Botanic House and has over 125 staff providing Audit, Tax and Advisory services to local businesses.
