Ex-Marconi and BAE man joins Marshall of Cambridge board

Marshall of Cambridge (Holdings) Ltd has a big hitting new non executive director coming on board on March 1.

Jonathan Flint started his career at Marconi and then worked with BAe Systems after it acquired the business. For 11 years after that he was chief executive of Oxford Instruments plc.

He was also a non-executive director of Stadium plc and at the aerospace and defence contractor Cobham plc.

Flint is president-elect of the Institute of Physics and sits on the board of the QuantIC strategic advisory board advising the UK government on new quantum imaging techniques.

He is also a non executive director at Oxford University Innovation, the commercialisation company of the University of Oxford.

Alex Dorrian, chairman of Marshall of Cambridge, said: We are very proud that Jonathan will be joining our company. His experience and understanding of the industry and emerging technologies will be invaluable as we invest in our ambitious plans for the development and growth of Marshall, including our aerospace & defence business.”
