Friend jets in as Guardtech accelerates growth
Guardtech Cleanrooms in Haverhill has continued its expansion drive with the appointment of Daisy Friend as Business Development Manager.
Friend arrives at the Suffolk company from Jet2Holidays – the UK’s second-largest tour operator.
Prior to this, Friend had a spell at Guardtech’s local neighbours Screenworks, was responsible for co-ordinating laboratory refurbishment and equipment sales at Interfocus – and is ready to build on her experience in the medical device sector. She is keen to build on the company’s recent success in supplying mobile testing units and portable labs – which are proving critical in the UK’s tussle with the COVID-19 pandemic.
She said: “It is great to work in an industry that is so vital during the present climate. I’m really looking forward to the challenges this brings over the next few months.”
Guardtech recently added Quality Lead Martin Sewell, Financial Controller Heidi Utley and Marketing Manager Joe Shackley to its team.
Guardtech offer a range of products and services, from turnkey construction cleanroom projects to smaller-scale modular cleanroom builds and self-assembly ISOPOD controlled environments.
Guardtech’s Operations Director Conor Barwise said: “We’re delighted to welcome Daisy to the team – as well as all our other new recruits – and we hope they’re the first of many more.”
