New MD for touch sensors technology company in Cambridge
Touch sensors technology business visualplanet has unveiled Daniel Spencer as managing director.
The Cambridge-based company specialises in design and manufacture of projected capacitive (pro-cap) touch sensors to a wide-range of industries including gaming, vending, financial, retail, and digital signage.
The internal appointment of Daniel, who has over six years at the company as product manager, reflects his instrumental role in developing, launching, and servicing visualplanet’s successful product portfolio.
He will now have full responsibility to drive growth in key market sectors where the business has gained recognition as a quality manufacturer of projected capacitive touch sensors for demanding environments.
As a result of this appointment visualplanet also announces that Vernon Spencer and Mike Cole will be assuming non-executive roles on the board to continue providing the business with a wealth of industry experience and high-level guidance for the future.
Cole said: “Daniel’s energy, drive and proven track record made him the obvious choice for the role of managing director. His broad knowledge of the business, product portfolio and its people are a great recipe for the continued success and growth of the company.”
Daniel Spencer added: “This is an exciting time for the company as it further cements its position as a market leader in the commercial touch industry.”
The company has manufactured touchfoil™ products for the world’s largest manufacturers, systems integrators and specialists since 2003.
