Oncology specialist joins Cambridge Cancer Genomics

Cambridge Cancer Genomics (CCG.ai) has appointed Dr Philip Beer to the team as head of translational medicine. 

Dr Beer is a physician scientist and precision oncology specialist; he brings years’ expertise in clinical cancer genomics, both in the NHS and commercially.

He has extensive experience working on bringing cancer genomics into clinical practice through diverse roles in academia, clinical research, genomic strategy, and in medical advisory roles. 

John Cassidy, CEO at Cambridge Cancer Genomics said: ​“We are thrilled to welcome Dr Beer onto the team at CCG.ai. Philip brings a wealth of experience in the clinical translation of genomics technologies both within the NHS and in the wider health ecosystem. 

“His experience and guidance will add to the already considerable computational talent added to the CCG.ai team over the last year.”
