Redgate Software spin-out Gearset in new recruitment drive

Cambridge Network has unveiled fast-growing tech company Gearset as the headline sponsor of its May 2022 virtual Jobs & Careers Fair.

Gearset was spun-out of Cambridge-based Redgate Software in 2015 with a team of eight people looking to establish itself as the market-leading release management solution for the Salesforce platform. Gearset’s tool builds on the platform that Salesforce provides, so its market size is inherently linked to theirs.

Initial nvestment from Redgate helped Gearset to grow rapidly, doubling revenue and staff year-on-year, with he company now recruiting across all areas of the business. Clients include Johnson & Johnson, Accenture, IBM and  TripAdvisor.

Now with more than 150 employees, Gearset declares itself the most widely used DevOps solution for Salesforce developers with thousands of customers worldwide. Located in Cambridge UK, Chicago and Belfast, it was recently awarded the No.3 Best Tech Company to work for by Best Companies.

Sarah Dewsbury, head of People at Gearset says: “With our continued rapid growth of doubling in revenue and size year on year, we’re at an exciting point where we’re recruiting across all areas of the business.

“As a product led company, we have so many great opportunities, and one of our biggest focus areas is on recruiting outstanding software engineers, to help us continue evolving our market leading product to support our ever-growing customer base.”

Claire Angus, head of Recruitment Gateway at Cambridge Network said: “Growing companies need to attract top talent and the Cambridge Network recruitment team are dedicated to assisting connections between recruiting companies and job seekers. We’re pleased to announce Gearset headlining our next event, which comes at an exciting time as they recruit across all areas of their business. Our recruitment event taking place on May 20 will be virtual.

“Given the previous success of this format, due to us being able to connect companies with a greater number of candidates, we will stay online. We are planning some face-to-face candidate evenings for later in the year, as we still feel that face to face connections are the most valuable.”
