Maplin unveils new Cambridge concept store

Technology reseller Maplin unveils a new 3,120 sq ft concept store at The Beehive Centre in Cambridge on Saturday (November 12).

The revamped branch will feature a new layout with clear shopping sections to help guide customers to their interest points and more staff on hand for expert advice. The investment has already created five new jobs.

Leading brands such as Bang & Olufsen, Samsung, and Go Pro have been added to Maplin’s offering and will be showcased for the first time in Cambridge alongside arguably this year’s most hotly anticipated product, Amazon Echo.

Maplin Electronics is rated as the UK’s leading electronics specialist and has more than 40 years’ experience of bringing affordable tech solutions to consumers.

Its website offers more than 30,000 products along with advice through live chat and videos. It has more than 200 stores in the UK and Ireland.

Maplin Electronics sold more than 10,000 drones last year alone as the electronics retailer captured the UK's demand for such advanced technology.

Customers in the refurbished store can get £5 off any purchase over £30 by quoting Future5 at checkout. This offer is valid at Maplin’s Cambridge Beehive Centre store until November 20.
