Patisserie to open on Hills Rd in Cambridge

A French style patisserie is due to open at 28 Hills Road following the letting of the shop unit by Robinson Layer.

The ground floor retail space was originally under offer to Pizza Express but they failed to get city council permission to convert the property to A5 takeaway use from which it intended to launch its new concept delivery business. Instead Clement Jacquinot, a master patisserie chef, is moving from Brighton to woo Cambridge cake lovers.

The upper office suite has been taken by business services firm, AIF Management. Mark Robinson, a partner at Robinson Layer, said: “This shop letting finalises the marketing of this prominently situated property on the corner of Hills Road and Coronation Street.”

Mark has had a long association with this property, having purchased the building in the 1990s for a private investor.
