Pitchfest back at the double to boost region’s startups
St John’s Innovation Centre in Cambridge has announced the return of Pitchfest – a highly-focused training and investor showcase designed to help ambitious business founders develop the necessary skills to become pitch ready.
The Pitchfest 2017 Spring Edition starts on April 25 and there will be a second event in the Autumn.
Delivered by Enterprise Europe Network, the world’s largest business support network, in partnership with the Knowledge Transfer Network, Pitchfest culminates with Investor Showcase Day where 15 selected companies will pitch their business ideas to the UK and international investors with ample networking available to allow a deeper conversation about their ventures.
Kirsten Masson (pictured above), development manager for the Enterprise Europe Network based at St John’s Innovation Centre, said: “We’re delighted to be working together with Ian Tracey and Emma Fadlon from the Knowledge Transfer Network, who will deliver the practical training and help companies to evaluate their business, commercial and to-market plans.
“We’re proud to announce that Pitchfest returns with two opportunities this year, in Spring and Autumn, to encourage even more innovative businesses to take part.”
Pitchfest 2017 organisers are seeking ambitious companies with innovative products and services who have the potential to scale or who are already scaling, and are aiming to raise between £100k and £1m.
Business founders are invited to apply for Pitchfest 2017 and become investor pitch ready for a chance to present their innovative ideas to the UK and international investors in June 2017. Deadline for submissions is April 18.
