23 jobs created by new Norfolk yacht facility

Norfolk-based Oyster Yachts, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of luxury blue-water sailing yachts, has opened a new in-house moulding facility in Wroxham.

Also, Oysters will now be the only British blue-water cruising yachts to carry Lloyds Register EMEA safety accreditation immediately on completion. All new Oysters will carry this mark.

The new facility will create 23 high-skilled jobs in the local area.

Oyster CEO Richard Hadida said: “The opening of our in-house moulding facility is a major milestone for the company. The first time this has been done in Oyster’s history, this facility and the accreditation which comes with it is fantastic news.

“We place huge importance on the high-quality performance and build quality of our yachts, and of course safety is paramount.

“The Lloyds Register certification of our yachts ensures we remain at the forefront of the blue-water cruising industry as we continue to innovate and provide best-in-class service.

“We are also delighted to provide a further 23 jobs for the Norfolk area, underlining our commitment to the local communities in which we operate.

“As Oyster owners adventure with their yachts all over the globe they can place absolute trust in the craftsmanship and expertise of our British boat-builders who we believe are the best in the world.”
