In a pre-close period trading update ahead of its interim results for the six months ended 30th June 2006 Trafficmaster said that trading for the first half of 2006 had improved significantly over the corresponding period last year and that the company was continuing to improve both its top and bottom line performance whilst also enjoying good cash generation.

With the business continuing to perform in line with expectations, Trafficmaster believes that it will continue to grow profitably in the second half of the year.

Trafficmaster CEO, Tony Eales, said: “The recent strategic review is translating into a materially improved financial outcome for Trafficmaster.

“The business is now on a significantly sounder footing as we enter the second half and I am confident that the actions taken will continue to improve Trafficmaster’s performance.”
