Stansted brings travel showcase to Cambridge

Following the successful launch of February’s London Stansted Airport Travel Show, the event is hitting the road – landing in Cambridge later this month.

Ahead of what is set to be its busiest year ever, London Stansted Airport is inviting travel agents and corporate travel buyers from large companies and SMEs to the second Travel Show on November 28, from 6pm – 10pm. Bringing together travel agents, buyers, airlines and destination representatives, the event aims to showcase the airport’s 200 global routes and provide valuable networking opportunities.

The London Stansted Airport Travel Show will be held at the newly renovated University Arms Hotel in Cambridge and will celebrate Stansted’s successes, while looking forward to a new era of putting the passenger experience at the heart of everything the airport does.

Attendees will hear about the airport’s latest developments and news from senior spokespeople about new routes, services and an update on its game-changing £600 million redevelopment.

This will prepare the airport to accommodate up to 50 per cent of London’s expected passenger growth. Attendees will also have the opportunity to discuss corporate airport packages and meet airline representatives to learn about new products and services.

Since the last event in February, the airport has secured high levels of growth with the launch of six new carriers including Emirates, Wideroe and Air Corsica; they will be in attendance along with other partner airlines such as British Airways, Ryanair, easyJet and Eurowings.

Neringa Öhrström, the airport’s aviation marketing manager says: “The first London Stansted Airport Travel Show was a huge success with over 200 guests in attendance and positive feedback from agents and airlines alike.

“November’s event will build on that success, moving to a bigger venue to accommodate the expected number of attendees. Travel trade stakeholders are hugely important to us and by sharing our exciting growth plans and our vision of a pioneering, technology-led airport experience for passengers, we can build and maintain key relationships between the airport, airlines, agents, buyers and corporate travel managers.

“It is also an opportunity for us to thank everyone for their involvement with the impressive airport growth we have recorded recently.”

The show will also have a range of prizes on offer from partners, including flights, designer bags and the latest technology, along with complimentary refreshments and entertainment.

To register for the show, fill in details by November 16. It is advised that attendees register soon to avoid disappointment.
