SKC Games Studio specialises in emotionally intelligent, multilingual AI‑avatar platforms. New partner Modality will adapt SKC’s 1956 Individuals technology to drive improvement in patient access, connect every front‑door interaction to the right care processes and free clinicians to focus on delivering care.

The 1956 Individuals platform brings together a lifelike, multilingual interface with a secure workflow automation engine that can securely orchestrate booking, triage, referrals, and multi‑team task management. Every contact at the “digital front door” is linked to the right process in the background, helping to reduce delays, cut down on duplicated admin and ensure patient requests are handled promptly and effectively.

By combining Modality’s experience in delivering care at scale with SKC’s innovative platform, the partnership will explore how the technology can improve patient journeys, support operational efficiency, and keep human connection central to care delivery.

Vincent Sai, Group CEO & Partner, Modality Partnership says: “We are committed to reshaping healthcare so that compassion and quality are designed into every interaction. This collaboration is an important step in testing how technology like 1956 Individuals can enhance the first point of contact for patients and improve how they experience the NHS.”

Asa Burrows, CEO, SKC added: “By combining Modality’s insight into primary care delivery with the design versatility of 1956 Individuals, we aim to explore a system that deepens patient connection, streamlines workflows, and frees clinicians to focus fully on care.”

A joint governance board, co‑chaired by Burrows and Sai, will oversee the programme. Any design and implementation will meet NHS DTAC, GDPR, and the highest cyber‑security standards. Impact modelling will be conducted to inform potential wider NHS adoption.

Modality Partnership is one of the UK’s largest and most innovative GP partnerships, delivering primary and community services nationwide.

Since its founding in 2009, Modality has pioneered new models of at-scale delivery and working with partners across the NHS, academia, and industry, Modality remains committed to sustainable, equitable healthcare – underpinned by its values of Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.

By merging creative expertise in independent video game development with years of experience working with big data, SKC’s flagship platform 1956 Individuals, blends immersive storytelling, ethical AI and cutting-edge technology to help organisations connect meaningfully with diverse audiences, reduce service barriers, and operate at scale without losing the human touch.

The company has already designed an Alan Turing avatar for Bletchley Park where Turing’s codebreakers earned their corn in World War II.
