As part of a game-changing two-year deal, Brooks will become the official Front-of-Shirt Sponsor for the first team, putting Brooks front and centre on the U’s shirts, as well as providing footwear to players and coaches to support their training and recovery routines.

Brooks, a global leader in high-performance running gear, is known for its dedication to promoting health and fitness and is the shoe provider for world champion athlete, Olympic silver medallist and Team GB captain Josh Kerr as well as world heavyweight boxing champion Daniel Dubois.

Cambridge United and Brooks will work together on a variety of community-focused initiatives and activations aimed at inspiring people of all ages to lead active, healthy lifestyles.

To kick off the partnership, Cambridge United Foundation will be launching a Run Club powered by Brooks, designed to engage fans and residents in regular running and fitness events. The initiative underscores both organisations’ commitment to improving well-being through sport.

Neil Rowe, Head of Commercial at Cambridge United said, “We are excited to confirm a two-year partnership with Brooks, a leading high-performance running brand with a global presence in over 60 countries.

"With Cambridge United and its Foundation deeply committed to promoting health and well-being in our community, Brooks stood out as a strong partner to help amplify the impact of our work across the city.

"This is a landmark deal for the club that not only strengthens our commercial profile internationally but also aligns perfectly with our values on and off the pitch. Our thanks go to ma for their support in helping create an exciting partnership which we’re excited to get up and running!”

Carl Newman, Northern Europe Territory Director, Brooks Running added, “Running is obviously a key part of football and players need the stamina to run for 10-12 kilometres a match, and the ability to have the distance made up of numerous sprints - it’s intense!

“Connecting with runners is key to our business growth and finding new avenues to connect with all who run is a major focus for us. Millions of footballers and football fans run regularly as part of their training programmes and for general fitness, so this partnership makes a lot of sense to both parties.

“It will also allow us to be really creative in the storytelling around the Club, its community and beyond. In recent years there has been an explosion of progressive football clubs, like Cambridge, finding ways to talk to and build their audiences in really smart ways - this is another example of that trend.”

To celebrate the new partnership, Cambridge United and Brooks will be giving away a 2025/26 Home Shirt, set to launch on Wednesday, along with a pair of Brooks Ghost 17 running shoes.

Brooks Sports, Inc., also known as Brooks Running, is an American sports equipment company that designs and markets high-performance men's and women's sneakers, clothing, and accessories. Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, Brooks products are available in 60 countries worldwide. It is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.

Brooks is the second major Seattle-based business to score big in Cambridge. The trailblazer was Bill Gates' Microsoft Research in July 1977 when it opened its first global hub outside the Washington mother ship.

Founded in 1914, Brooks originally made shoes for a broad range of sports. Brooks Running became the top selling brand in the specialty running shoe industry in 2011 and has remained so with more than a 25 per cent share of the global market.
