This latest round, bringing total funding to £1.15m to date, was spearheaded by a prestigious French family fund renowned for foundational innovation in CAD/CAM technologies underpinning modern industrial design. Strategic angel investors also participated, underscoring strong market confidence in AnthroTek’s innovative technology and growth trajectory.

Imagine surgeons training without cadavers, medical device manufacturers with high fidelity device testing rigs and robots capable of sensing human touch, or movie prosthetics indistinguishable from real skin. AnthroTek is making these scenarios a reality.

Founded less than a year ago by entrepreneur Nazmus Tareque and distinguished materials scientist Dr Raoul Peltier, AnthroTek has rapidly evolved from a garage venture into a vibrant company occupying 350 sq m of specialised laboratories and workshops in Cambridge and Newmarket.

The company’s agile growth from two to five team members has been fuelled by securing immediate commercial traction across multiple global markets. The business is planning to double in size over the next year.

AnthroTek’s proprietary silicone composite materials convincingly replicate the appearance, texture, and mechanical response of human tissue.

With deep expertise in AI, 3D technology, and advanced material science, the startup found an unique niche, serving three distinct but interconnected sectors:

• Medical Simulation: High-fidelity anatomical models and injection pads that drastically reduce reliance on animal testing and cadavers, aligning closely with new regulatory guidelines demanding realistic and ethical training alternatives.

• Robotics and Prosthetics: Durable, sensory-integrated synthetic skins designed in collaboration with leading international sensor manufacturers. Embedded pressure and temperature sensors transform AnthroTek’s silicone membranes into responsive, data-rich training tools.

• Cinema SFX & Luxury Masks: Under its premium brand, The Face Forge, AnthroTek supplies bespoke prosthetics and custom masks to leading film studios, notably contributing to the current cinema release from an Oscar-winning director.

“This investment gives us the runway to position Cambridge as the global epicentre for synthetic anatomy; combining realism, ethics, and advanced data integration across medical, robotics, and entertainment industries,” said Nazmus Tareque, AnthroTek’s Co-Founder & Chief Commercial Officer.

CEO & Co-Founder Dr Raoul Peltier added: “We’re not just enhancing products, we’re redefining industry standards. This funding enables us to recruit some of the best talents in the ecosystem & significantly scale our manufacturing capabilities.”

With high-profile contracts spanning Asia, North America, and Europe, the company believes it is poised for further significant international growth.

AnthroTek plans to leverage its fresh capital to deepen strategic partnerships with global healthcare providers, robotics pioneers and major entertainment studios. Several key announcements and partnerships are anticipated in the coming months, marking AnthroTek’s ambition to become the definitive global leader in realistic, synthetic anatomy innovation.
