Cambridge Wireless helps build UK-Serbia technology collaboration

The organisations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, establishing a one-year programme to bed down what is intended to be a long-term partnership.
The BSCC showcased Serbia’s fast-growing ICT sector at the UK-Serbia Technology Trade Mission in May. Building on the mission, CW and BSCC met up in June and identified strong alignment across DeepTech, and connectivity-related technologies - areas where both ecosystems excel.
The new partnership will see Serbian innovators participating in leading UK tech events, including the Cambridge Wireless International Conference (April 2026) and Cambridge Tech Week 2026, and will create year-round opportunities for engagement between UK industry and academia in the connectivity and innovation space, starting with a trade mission to Serbia in November 2025.
Sylvia Lu, Board Director, Cambridge Wireless, said: “I had the privilege to witness first hand Serbia's innovation and talent at the UK-Serbia Technology Trade Mission back in May and it's fantastic to see initial conversations materialise into this collaboration.
“This MoU connects Serbian innovators with our CW members across semiconductors, connectivity, and deep tech, while equally creating opportunities for UK companies in Serbia's thriving ICT market. It's a practical bridge that will accelerate market access, investment opportunities, and knowledge exchange between both ecosystems.”
Lord Ranger of Northwood, Chair of the British Serbian Chamber of Commerce, said: “Serbia’s technology sector is advancing at an impressive pace. It has become one of, if not the most dynamic in Southeast Europe - and the UK is a natural partner for its innovation ambitions.
“This alliance represents a major step in connecting Serbian entrepreneurs with one of the world’s most dynamic tech ecosystems. Together, we can unlock new avenues for trade, investment and knowledge transfer.”
Michaela Eschbach, CEO, Cambridge Wireless, added: “This partnership with the BSCC reflects our belief that ethical, sustainable innovation is best achieved through international collaboration.
“By bringing their innovators into our ecosystem, we can create meaningful opportunities for collaboration in multiple areas from connectivity to biotech. We are excited to welcome Serbian companies into the Cambridge Wireless community and the Cambridge ecosystem, and to support them in showcasing their talent on the global stage.”
