The company, specialising in DevOps platform for Salesforce, operates globally offering its solutions to thousands of customers worldwide. It employs 309 people in the UK, with 201 of those at the new Cambridge HQ.

The opening of Gearset’s new flagship follows a year of record-breaking business milestones for the company. In 2024, Gearset experienced a 49 per cent year-over-year revenue increase, welcoming 800 new customers, and bringing the total customer count to 3500, including 1,000 Enterprise clients.

Gearset acquired London-based Clayton in 2024 to strengthen its DevOps suite with cutting-edge code reviews for Salesforce. Gearset also expanded its global workforce with a 50 per cent headcount increase across all business segments, growing its team in its existing offices in Belfast, Chicago, as well as Cambridge.

It says the new office space fits this trajectory and provides a flexible environment that accommodates the expected growth in Gearset’s headcount into 2025-26.

Gearset’s new headquarters is 16,000 sq ft, almost double the size of its previous office space at The Bradfield Centre. A defining feature is the single open-plan floor that’s designed to support cross-team collaboration.

Each department will have its own neighbourhood for departmental collaboration, but there will also be spaces designed for cross-team collaboration as well as areas for individual focus work. While Gearset is committed to providing flexible working arrangements, its new office will also ensure it can continue nurturing top talent from renowned institutions like Cambridge University.

Kevin Boyle, CEO and Co-Founder at Gearset, commented: “Our new headquarters is where we will continue on our journey of setting the standard for Salesforce DevOps and building products customers love. The strength of Gearset’s company culture, and the level of cross-company collaboration is key to our success. Our new office will ensure we have the right environment to foster even greater collaboration and open communication as we embark upon our next phase of growth.”

Gearset plans to expand its global workforce so it can continue driving innovation from its Belfast, Cambridge and Chicago offices.

Enterprises including McKesson and IBM use Gearset to accelerate development, improve release quality, enhance security and make Salesforce deliver.
