Bergius brings a strong background in building commercial partnerships. With previous roles in the construction sector and a keen interest in early career talent, she will lead on expanding Form the Future’s corporate partnerships, enabling more organisations to inspire young people, develop their ESG programmes and galvanise their work experience opportunities.
“I’m thrilled to be joining a purpose-led organisation that delivers such meaningful impact,” she said. “I look forward to building new partnerships that help employers invest in the next generation and help young people find the futures they deserve.”
Form the Future, a Cambridge-based social enterprise and Community Interest Company, works with schools, colleges and employers to connect young people to their future careers. Building on its 10-year anniversary celebrations in 2025, the organisation is embarking on an ambitious period of growth, aiming to expand its reach, and foster greater collaboration between education and business.
Anne Bailey, CEO and Co-founder, commented: “These appointments reflect the energy and ambition we have for the future. Michelle brings strategic insight and experience that will help steer our next chapter, and Gwen is already bringing fresh drive and connectivity to our partnerships. As we mark our 10-year anniversary, our focus is firmly on the future—more impact, more innovation, and more opportunities for young people.”
Prashant Shah, Chair of the Board, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Michelle and Gwen to the team. Their appointments signal our commitment to good governance, strong leadership, and building a resilient organisation ready for the next decade of impact. Their expertise will be invaluable as we scale our work with schools and employers across the region and beyond.”
