Created by Layrd Design, the event promises a packed programme of talks and immersive experiences aimed at reshaping how we think about the spaces we work and live in.

The speaker line-up includes:

• Sophie Schuller, a British-German neuroarchitecture expert from TU Eindhoven, looking at how buildings affect health, stress and wellbeing.

• Jonathan Rush, UK-based Lighting Director at Hoare Lea, with over 20 years’ experience exploring how light influences how we feel and function.

• Jason Danziger, a German-American architect based in Berlin, known for combining design with art and anthropology.

• Dr Elizabeth C. Nelson, an American biomedical engineer working at the Smart Building Collective, focused on inclusive, high-performing workplaces.

• Dr Heather Wray, a sustainability researcher at TNO, specialising in the circular economy, green infrastructure, and urban farming.

• Gustavo Valbuena, Strategic Foresight Director at Spanish company ACTIU, exploring how workplace design can adapt to future needs.

Alongside the speaker sessions, attendees can take part in interactive workshops, explore the Layrd Lounge for informal chats with speakers, visit bespoke sponsor stands, and enjoy a relaxed pop-up bar in the evening.

Organisers say that whether you are a business owner, designer, architect or sustainability advocate, Future Spaces 2025 offers a chance to connect, share ideas and find practical inspiration for future-facing commercial environments.
