Levidian adds South Korea to Asia footprint

The planarTECH team already has a manufacturing base and established network of customers and research partners in Asia. Notably successful in Korea, the company launched Levidian’s LOOP technology into the Asian market at the ‘Nano Korea 2025’ 2D Materials Seminar earlier this month at KINTEX in South Korea.
Ian Hopkins, Chief Commercial Officer for Levidian, said: “We’re excited to be kicking off our new partnership with planarTECH, which is well placed to support our growth in Asia as one of the fastest growing markets for graphene.
“Our auction earlier this year reinforced the significant and growing customer demand for high-quality graphene and hands on support to integrate this material into their products – with this new partnership, we’re in great shape to deliver on those asks.”
Levidian’s patented LOOP decarbonisation system is catalyst-free and uses low-temperature, low-pressure Cold Plasma technology to crack methane gas and produce high-quality graphene and clean hydrogen, which has the potential to be net zero or even carbon negative when powered by renewables and fuelled by biogas.
Levidian last month signed an MoU with Gas Malaysia Berhad, a member of MMC Group, to explore the deployment of LOOP in Malaysia as well as the wider Southeast Asian region.
