MedTech advisor brought in to boost next phase of growth at AnthroTek

AnthroTek combines advanced materials science, 3D technologies and AI to develop silicone models that faithfully mimic tissue behaviour for procedure rehearsal, device evaluation and usability studies. Recent work includes contracts in surgical training and human factors, and the delivery of large-scale anatomical models for education and testing.
The company is expanding its portfolio to support studies that improve safety and workflow reliability – without reliance on animal or cadaveric material.
Louisa brings more than two decades in medical technology, with experience across the design and development of over 100 devices and multiple company exits. The move supports Anthrotek’s next phase as it scales hyper-realistic silicone models for surgical simulation, human factors and medical training.
Louisa said: “I’m extremely excited to join AnthroTek, as a founder advisor, because hyper-realistic simulation will be the future of human factors. My focus is on practical evidence, human-factors rigour and collaborations that give teams and regulators trustworthy data to move forward.”
AnthroTek CEO and Co-Founder, Dr Raoul Peltier, said: “From building a commercially available AI app to helping develop medical devices for low- and middle-income countries, Louisa has a track record of turning ideas into impact. We’re privileged to welcome her as a Founder Board Advisor.”
AnthroTek’s models are used to test medical devices, refine workflows and support training with lifelike tactile response. The company has grown through projects with MedTech and training providers, presented its work at international forums, and was recently supported through Innovate UK’s Growth Hub for streamlining the maintenance and audit of its growing IP pipeline.
With Louisa’s appointment, AnthroTek will formalise partner engagements and publish simple guidance for customers on selecting the right model and study method for their questions.
“In under a year, AnthroTek has gone from strength to strength. We’ve secured the funding and partnerships that give us the runway to position Cambridge as the global epicentre for synthetic anatomy – bringing together uncompromising realism, ethics-by-design and advanced data integration across medical, robotics and entertainment,” said Nazmus Tareque, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at AnthroTek, in a previous interview with Business Weekly.
Building on that momentum, “Louisa combines deep medical device development experience with a builder’s mindset,” said Nazmus. “Her guidance will help customers design better studies with our models and shorten the path from concept to confident use in training and evaluation.”
