An annual list, the FEBE Growth 100 recognises the fastest-growing privately owned businesses in the country where the founder or founders are still involved. Cycle Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge and EPOS Now in Norwich also made it into the rankings.

The FEBE measures growth using robust metrics and rigorous research, including two-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR), revenue performance, and founder involvement. All qualifying companies are UK-registered, privately owned, independent and have generated annual revenues between £3 million and £200 million with an operating profit in their latest financial year.

Since 1993, the nascent Redtail Telematics team has been a provider of telematics solutions to the usage-based insurance (UBI), automotive, fleet tracking, and stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) sectors globally.

Redtail draws on its joint heritage with sister company, Plextek, the communications technology design house, and they have together supplied approaching seven million devices into the automotive aftermarket in more than 30 countries.

Redtail is headquartered in Cambridge, UK and, together with subsidiary Redtail Telematics Corp in San Diego, California, enjoys the unique benefits among TSPs in designing and manufacturing its own devices as opposed to purchasing them from a technology provider. Redtail devices and services are used by Admiral, ingenie, ByMiles, TRACKER UK, LoJack, CalAmp, Concirrus, Acorn and JLR, among others.

Dr Colin Smithers, CEO, Redtail Telematics comments: “We are delighted to have been included in the FEBE Growth 100, by achieving a 2-year CAGR of 61 per cent. Redtail Telematics has innovated and evolved in reaction to market needs, both in product and service offerings and routes to market, from direct to indirect B2B and B2B2C, with its products being used worldwide across various verticals.

“As that evolution has taken place, we have added layers of connectivity (SIM, APIs) and invested 15 years developing data handling to deliver value (tracking, algorithm-based scoring and FNOL, analytics using our own ML and AI techniques) and ways to access that data including portals and apps.

“The result is an active and profitable IoT ecosystem that today connects 100,000s of assets. This evolution has culminated in our unique one stop shop offering a customisable full technology stack for fleets, insurers, OEMs and Stolen Vehicle Recovery for delivering data insight into how their assets (people or things) are performing.”

Charlotte Quince, founder of FEBE, said: “The Growth 100 isn’t just a leaderboard – it’s a tribute to the founders pushing boundaries, taking risks and building brilliant businesses against all odds.”

Cycle Pharmaceuticals, headquartered at The Broers Building in Cambridge, is the highest placed Cambridge organisation in the 2025 FEBE 100. The company is focussed on drug development and patient support for the rare disease community. Cycle’s patients require life-long treatments and so Cycle’s aim is to improve their quality of life.

Cycle currently sells 7 drugs in the US, treating genetic conditions such as multiple sclerosis and phenylketonuria. Cycle also provides free treatment to approximately 50 million children in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. 2-year CAGR was 75.33% (YE Dec 2024), with £105.3m sales recorded.

Norwich-based Epos Now earned its place with a 40.2% CAGR, growing revenue from £59 million in FY 2023 to £117 million in FY 2025. This was achieved entirely organically without any external funding—a rarity at this scale.

Founded in 2011 by Jacyn Heavens with just a few thousand pounds, Epos Now has grown from a garage startup into a global retail and hospitality technology platform. Today, it powers over 90,000 locations in 11 countries, helping merchants streamline operations and drive growth through integrated AI tools, embedded finance, and payment solutions.

By offering accessible banking and financial services within its platform, Epos Now is also helping to bank the unbanked, unlocking new opportunities for underserved businesses worldwide.

Jacyn Heavens, Founder and CEO at Epos Now, said: “Being named in this year’s FEBE Growth 100 is an incredible honour. It means so much because it’s recognition by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs. It’s not just about numbers; it’s about the resilience, drive, and spirit behind building something real. Charlotte and John pour their hearts into championing this community, and their passion is infectious. The energy they’ve created around FEBE is inspiring, and we’re proud to be part of it.”
