Shaun Grady and Andy Neely bolster Form the Future Board
Shaun Grady, Chair of AstraZeneca UK and Professor Andy Neely, Chair of Innovate Cambridge, Professor of Manufacturing and previously Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Enterprise and Business Relations at the University of Cambridge, add their strength to the organisation.
Both are highly respected leaders in Cambridge’s innovation and enterprise landscape and have extensive experience at the intersection of business, academia and regional growth.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Shaun and Andy to our Board at such an exciting moment for Form the Future,” said Anne Bailey, CEO and Co-Founder. “As we mark our tenth anniversary and look ahead to regional expansion, their insight and networks will help us amplify our impact, ensuring young people across our community can access the opportunities being created in and around Cambridge.”
Form the Future works with schools, colleges and employers to connect young people with career opportunities and help employers build the skilled workforce they need. The organisation delivers a wide range of programmes across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, inspiring young people to explore careers in STEM, construction, green and digital sectors.
Grady commented: “Supporting the next generation as they navigate and contribute to this dynamic ecosystem is something I care about deeply. I am therefore delighted to join the Board of Form the Future. Their mission to connect young talent with real-world pathways is essential for our community’s long-term success, and I look forward to helping create those vital links with the life sciences industry."
Professor Neely added: “Cambridge’s success depends on nurturing and including the next generation of talent. Form the Future has been doing outstanding work to make that possible and I’m excited to help guide its next chapter.”
Prashant Shah, Chair of Form the Future, was thrilled by the dual coup. He commented: “Shaun and Andy each bring a wealth of experience to the board and have shown a clear track record and passion for the ecosystem on multiple levels. We look forward to working with our new board members to help create runways for young people into careers they will love.”
