Around 20 companies have been chosen to appear at o2h's inaugural Cambridge x London Life Sciences Showcase on January 13 at RESI JPM 2026 in San Francisco as part of JPM Healthcare Week. o2h has been sifting around 30 applications from companies in the two locations.

The event will serve as a premier platform for Cambridge and London's innovative and pioneering life sciences, biotech, and techbio companies to showcase their breakthrough science.

The initiative is aimed at creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue and collaboration between visionary founders and strategic investors, positioning the UK's most promising ventures at the forefront of global scientific advancement.

The showcase will feature 20 companies ‘flash’ pitches. These will be structured into three groups, series A/B+, seed and then pre-seed. The pitches will be interspersed with networking opportunities. The schedule will end with an extended informal session where investors can engage directly with presenting companies. The format is designed to highlight what makes these two ecosystems uniquely positioned at the forefront of global life sciences innovation.

The UK life sciences ecosystem is powered by world-class science, strong translational hubs, and a closely connected founder–investor community. In Cambridge and London, the proximity between universities, pharma, and venture networks creates a unique environment where breakthrough ideas can be identified and nurtured early. This showcase brings that early innovation pipeline to the global stage at JPM.

Prashant Shah, Co-founder, o2h Group, said: “We are excited about the first ever Cambridge x London Life Sciences Showcase at JPM Healthcare Week 2026. We have been building toward this for several years, and thanks to our sponsors including Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, Wellcome Genome Campus, Cancer Research Horizons, Mishcon de Reya, o2h discovery and Cambridge University Health Partners, we are making it happen.

“We have some of the most exciting life science companies in the world, and we want to showcase our thriving ecosystem to the global audience at these major conferences where the world's life sciences community comes together.”

The event will bring together leading voices from Cambridge & London's thriving life sciences ecosystems, with special keynote speeches from Steve Bates (Office for Life Science UK Government), Andy Richards (Serial Entrepreneur and Investor), and Tony Jones (CEO, One Nucleus), alongside others including ministerial attendance. An opening panel discussion will examine the unique attributes that position the UK life sciences ecosystem at the forefront of global innovation.
