CIC goes under the VC hood with virtual masterclass

Investment powerhouse Cambridge Innovation Capital and US law firm Goodwin are offering entrepreneurs and startups a chance to book a short session to discuss elements of Venture Capital through an online masterclass.

The initiative follows great interest from the early-stage business community and is suited for those working in the technology and life sciences sectors who have secured an initial investment.

The session will take place on April 30 between 10.30-13.30 using a Zoom video link.

Areas of discussion include: Knowing Your Business; Setting Up a Company; Key Elements of the Business Plan; Maintaining Your Cap Table; Types of Funding; Understanding Your Board; Consent Matters; Technology/IP/Data; Share Option Plans; Tax Considerations.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet virtually with Carol Cheung, Principal at Cambridge Innovation Capital, and Roshni Thakkar, an Associate in Goodwin’s Technology and Life Sciences group.

CIC is a venture capital Investment firm focusing on a range of technology and life sciences investments. Carol currently serves on the boards of Fintech and location based services companies Cytora and GeoSpock.

Roshni advises clients on a broad range of corporate matters with a focus on transactions in the life sciences, healthcare and technology sectors and has particular experience advising on venture capital investments, growth capital and startups.
