Park home manufacturers announce merger

Both firms manufacture luxury residential and holiday homes for the park home industry.

The Prestige Developments Group has taken over the management of Country Homes (Anglia) Ltd based at Brome, Suffolk.

Roy Gallagher has stepped down as Director and Company Secretary of Country Homes (Anglia) Ltd to take a well-earned retirement.

Prestige directors Silvano Geranio (Managing) and Eric Jones (Finance) have joined the Country Homes board and will work closely with Steve Ekins, the current sales director, to ensure a smooth transition of duties over the coming months.

Geranio and Jones are founder members of the Prestige Group’s manufacturing company Prestige Park and Leisure Homes Ltd based at Kettering, Northants. That company was formed less than five years ago in 2007 and now employs 120 personnel.

It is hoped the move will take Country Homes, which employs 40 staff from its Suffolk base, into a new era of growth and further development.

Prestige intends to use some of its experienced senior management team to help to increase output at the Brome factory, introduce efficiencies derived from the benefits of economies of scale and use its sales and marketing expertise to further establish Country Homes’ reputation as a leading player in the market place.

Country Homes sales and marketing director Steve Ekins said: “2012 will be an exciting year for Country Homes, we have great new vibrant products in the pipeline and are really looking forward to working with the Prestige team.”

Geranio added: “The Prestige ethos embraces quality, customer care and bespoke product build with a family orientated approach to business. We look forward to a long and profitable relationship with our new Suffolk partners.”
