Streets in alliance with insolvency specialist

Harold Sorsky and Paul Tutin

Streets Chartered Accountants, a top 50 UK accountancy practice, has formed a strategic alliance with the leading insolvency specialist SPW Poppleton & Appleby.

The alliance arises from Streets’ desire to be able to offer a dedicated corporate and personal recovery service.

SPW Poppleton and Appleby has become Streets SPW PLC. Streets has operations in the UK’s East of England in Cambridge, Newmarket, Peterborough, Stevenage and Wyboston Lakes.

Paul Tutin, Streets chairman and managing partner said: “Over recent years we have developed the practice significantly with the opening of new offices and strategic mergers with other firms.

“Following the tie up with SPW Poppleton & Appleby we will now be able to offer an insolvency and corporate recovery service with one of the country’s top 20 Insolvency Practices.

“The SPW Poppleton & Appleby insolvency team is led by senior partners Harold Sorsky and Daniel Platt, fellow partner Stella Davis and Associate Myles Jacobson, all of whom are qualified insolvency practitioners and appointment takers. They are supported by a highly experienced and dedicated support team of administrators and case workers.”

Harold Sorsky welcomed the partnership as an essential part of practice development.

“As a result, this will access an enlarged market by offering a nationwide service from Streets’ 12 offices covering London, the South East, East Midlands and Yorkshire as well as our own offices in central and north London. It will also give the new firm the ability to call upon the support skills of Streets Forensic and Taxation departments.”
