New sampling method for mixed household waste

A German university has developed a new method for sampling mixed low-density bulk waste materials (particle size < 40 mm) by compressing randomly selected batches into compact solid bodies/moulds. Very small analytical samples < 1g taken from these representative moulds allow reliable high precision analysis of composition and calorimetric value to be evaluated for further use as secondary raw material or refuse derived fuel. Partners are sought for integration in existing and new applicationsRef: 11 DE 1067 3LBJ
