The 24th annual Business Weekly Awards is underway and we are inviting entries from East of England companies of all sizes and every conceivable business sector. This year sees the introduction of a new category designed to recognise the increasingly international profile of the region. The Overseas Business of the Year prize adds to categories for top exporters and the best startups, graduate businesses, wireless, CleanTech and BioMedTech companies.

From them all will be chosen a Business of the Year to join a Hall of Fame that includes Abcam, ARM, Autonomy, AVEVA, British Sugar, CSR, Domino, Horizon Discovery, Perkins Engines, Pi Group, Ryanair, TTP and Virata. Closing date for entry is December 20 and the all-star presentation dinner will be held at Queens’ College Cambridge on Tuesday March 18, 2014.

Which awards do you wish to enter for ?
For the most exciting start-up enterprise in any sector founded in the last 12 months.
For the BioMedTech company that has made most commercial progress in the last 12 months.
For the CleanTech business that has made most commercial progress in the last 12 months.
For the wireless sector businesses that has made most commercial progress in the last 12 months.
For a company founded by a Cambridge University alumnus at least three years out of academia that has demonstrated outstanding commercial progress.
For the foreign-owned business with operations in the East of England that has contributed most to the local economy or significantly advanced science, technology or industry in the region.
For a company in any industry that has launched or expanded its international operations in the past 12 months or significantly broadened its access to global markets with new products or services.
For a company in any industry sector demonstrating strength of management, strategic enterprise and commercial success.
