Kath Herbert from Birketts LLP was presented with the most prestigious award of the night at the Cambridgeshire Law Society (CLS) annual presentation dinner at King’s College.

She was named winner of the the Lifetime Achievement Award. Herbert has extensive commercial property experience, having worked in the sector for over 30 years.

Michael Frape, President of CLS, hosted the event and Mark Evans, Deputy Vice-President of the Law Society of England and Wales presented the awards.

James Holden, Fundraising Manager for the local charity, Wintercomfort spoke at the event and a charity raffle took place to raise cash for the organisation.

• LawtechUK, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at spearheading the digital transformation of the legal sector in the UK and backed by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), spotlights Cambridge in an upcoming 2024 UK Tour.

The tour is designed to foster the adoption of law technology across the country, particularly in regions that have typically been underserved.

As one of only eight stops on the LawtechUK Tour 2024, Cambridge is poised to offer its legal community unique exposure to state-of-the-art lawtech advancements.

This stop, slated for May 21, is part of a nationwide effort to bridge the technological gap for regional SME law firms, providing them with invaluable resources and knowledge to elevate their practice.
